About Us

RatesData Limited was established in 2013 to create a data analytics tool for professional Rating Surveyors. The team is made up of IT experts, who have gained invaluable advice from ex-VOA employees as well as commercial Surveyors in designing and improving the functionality of our systems.

Anthony Cook - Founder

Anthony has decades of experience in business and has spent the last 30 years designing and supporting complex database systems. Anthony was the Founder and Chairman of Anthony Cook Associates, one of the UK’s leading IT training companies in the 1980’s and 90’s, with offices in the City of London, Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Prior to his IT career, Anthony qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and worked for Drivers Jonas.
Matthew Simpson - Managing & Technical Director

Matthew has run his own software company for the last 25 years and joined RatesData in 2020 to take over the development and management of the RatesData system. Matthew has written numerous databases for clients, such as HSBC, BP and National Grid and is a leading developer of web-based data analytics tools. Matthew is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Company.
Sarah Buckner - Sales Manager
Sarah has been involved in commercial property and land data working for Landmark Information group for over 10 years. Liasing with surveyors, architects and land agents from all of the well known major firms.
Linda Rogers - Customer Service Manager
Linda started her career as a data analyst for Sir Alexander Gibb & Partners who invested in her enthusiasm for all the latest gadgets and technology. She then became a software trainer and helpdesk support technician for the various Office Suites of the early 90s. Linda now oversees all our customer support activities and works closely with the client account managers for implementation and with the development team for future system functionality.
Edward Cook - Director

Edward worked from 2001 until 2020 as CEO of AVMI Group. AVMI provided audiovisual services to many of the world’s largest corporations as well as to several UK Government departments. AVMI had offices in the UK and Ireland as well as in India, the USA and Hong Kong.
